Digital Reflection is a Comscore, Inc. brand, one of the nation’s largest and most respected internet ratings and research firms. Our goal is to help companies understand how people are using the internet across the many internet-capable devices in their homes. When companies better understand how people are using their products and services, they can give users more of what they want and need.
Digital Reflection uses research hardware to measure how the internet is being used within our members’ homes. In order to participate in this research community, we ask that members install hardware that will monitor all of the internet activity on the home’s internet connection. This way Digital Reflection can develop an understanding of how the internet is being used across all devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, gaming consoles, and any other devices using the home’s WiFi connection.
Each member household’s internet usage data is combined with other panel members’ data in order to create research reports for businesses around the world. Our research reports are usually provided in the form of aggregated data showing data from many households combined. When we disclose data that is not aggregated, we assign randomized identifiers to individuals or households, which some clients can link with personal information they already hold about you. As a research organization, our goal is to understand members’ browsing and buying habits – not influence them. To that end, we do not advertise on our site, nor do we use any personal information that members provide to us to advertise or market products or services to them.
